Ya know, I had the same thought! I doubt she got Seth Rogan's character to do it..
actually, not so weird... you get shaved down there when you're in labor...
I disagree! I'm 8 months pregnant and I am going to get a Brazillian wax in 2 days. You still like to feel some what sexy when your pregnant. Your not dead!
Yes they do shave women's pubic hair in most hospitals as part of the routine... Of course if the woman doesn't want it she can say no, but that's the procedure, because it's easier to stitch the area up without the hairs getting in the way.
And by the way, I agree with the lady above about sexuality during pregnancy. Some of the hottest sex I had was at that time... If you like Brazilian there is no reason to avoid it during pregnancy!
I also got a brazilian at the end of my 6th month, even though I ended up havin' a c-section, brazilians make u feel ultra clean! specially during the last trimerster when there is more discharge, and it may just look better when u're recording the birth of your child :-)
im exacly 9 months pregnatn, and i just got my brazilian wax done today. it feels great. plus you don't want to go into labor with all hair down there
Actually, I am an L&D RN & any hospital that routinely shaves women to have a vaginal birth needs to read some research from THIS century. They dont usually do it, & there is NO need for it.
& about 75% of my labor patients are totally shaved/waxed.
ok for one, now a days you dont have to be shaved anymore. i know here we dont anyways and yea im 39 weeks and 1 day and i feel gorgous im not going to let all the hair grow in just cause ive got a belly on me thanks....
..but it hurts!!! xD

I am 9 months pregnant due any day now and just went to get a Brazilian. I get them all the time but this time was horrible, hurt worse then the first time. I almost had her stop! But I think it is worth it, you won't be able to do anyhting once baby comes
I am a normal, sexual person, but I would die of embarrassment to go to a doctor shaved or waxed in the pubic area. I would die of embarrassment to walk into a place to ask for a Brazilian. None of my female friends do that. (Please don't ask if I'm a religious fundamentalist or a prude. Neither is true.)
I did. I actually read in Parents magazine that alot of woman do. When ur that big u can't do it urself. I think its gross if you didn't. There's going to be alot of people look down there when ur in labor! Better keep it nice looking:)

That was my first thought when I watched Knocked up also.
But then, after watching it a few times, I noticed that she actually does have hair, it's just very light and blonde. She does have a bikini wax, but not a brazilian wax.
my friend got a brazilian wax a week before giving birth. its not that out of the ordinary
Good lord, ladies! I get it - it's normal. Not my thing, but normal.
