Hey Jenny McCarthy, Einstein didn't talk until he was four either...
I guess his mom should've sold a bunch of books about how "autistic" he was and how she magically cured him through the power of vitamins too.

Hi there! You sarcastic comments are really quite witty. But not so much with this comment. If you're not related to someone with autism, then you don't know. I know it looks like the perfect oppotunity to give someone a "knock" - but it comes across as a little crass.
Never one to respond to comments, I felt I had to here:
Not only do I personally know autistic people - and experts who work with autistic children - but I know there are celebrity parents, like Robert Smigel, who have quietly and courageously raised severely autistic children while also donating tons of money to autistic charities.
Who knows? Perhaps it is the doctors who are to quick with the diagnosis nowadays, but I have a hard time not being skeptical about an over-the-hill Playmate trying desperately to cling to the spotlight using any means she can (in this case, her son, who at 5 has proven he is a highly-functioning, non-autistic child). I also fear that, with her bestseller, McCarthy may be encouraging other parents to make the same potentially-harmful rush to judgment that she made.
And the post was originally written "I didn't speak until I was four..."
Because I didn't.
